A solution could be to reinforce the current academic curriculum counseling with activities dedicated to female high school students, aimed at guiding girls towards ICT disciplines. This activities should done in collaboration between the university and high school teachers, and can be implemented in different ways, including daily lessons of academic experts in the high schools, school visits by ICT students, academic staff members, and professional experts, dedicated seminars showing to the girls female role models in ICT research or professional careers, specific laboratory activities dedicated to coding and computer science.
