Goal: Diversify successful candidates - the alternative to a female quota

Reformat the application material that the following things are invisble to the selection committee regarding a candidate

  • picture of the candidate
  • name
  • gender
  • nationality

The equivalent of the introduction of the curtain during the selection process of a new orchester candidate. Once they introduced this tool of not knowing who is behind the curtain the new members of US orchestras started to diversify. The took the best person - independent from gender and age - women, people of color, different nationalities....
